The Chilipad Cube is our "classic," original Chilipad. Choose the Cube if you want a simple, budget-friendly system that focuses on effective cooling performance without the extra bells and whistles. It’s perfect if you prefer using a physical remote control rather than a smartphone app, and if you want a proven, reliable system that has helped thousands of customers sleep better.

The Cube uses our Cool Mesh™ mattress pad, which contains a network of soft, silicone tubes to circulate water. While the vast majority of sleepers (even side sleepers) find it comfortable and undetectable under a fitted sheet, it does have a different texture than our tubeless "Chilipad Pro" model.

The Cube control unit emits a steady, white-noise hum (approx. 51-56 decibels), similar to a standard floor fan. Many of our customers report that this consistent sound actually helps mask outside noises. For a quieter Chilipad, upgrade to the Dock Pro model.

Yes. The Cool Mesh pad includes elastic straps to secure it to your mattress. However, for Split-King adjustable beds, you’ll need to purchase two separate "ME" (Twin XL) systems. This allows each side of the bed to move up and down freely without pulling on the water tubes or connector hoses.

It depends on your partner!

• Get the "WE" (Dual Zone): If you both want temperature control. This comes with two Cube control units and one large King-sized pad with dual zones. You can stay cool at 60°F while your partner warms up at 100°F.
• Get the "ME" (Single Zone): If only you sleep hot. This covers just half the bed (one side) and comes with one Cube unit. Your partner may get jealous; all you would need to do is add another half-sized system ("ME") to your bed.

The Chilipad Cube can cool your bed surface down to 60°F, which feels amazing for most hot sleepers. However, if you’re an NFL-sized lineman, run hot year-round, live in a humid environment with little-to-no AC, or want to sleep really cold, the Cube may not have the power you’re looking for.

Yes. The Chilipad Cube became well known for this exact reason. It can lower your bed temperature to as cool as 60°F (depending on room ambient temp). To keep your Cube running like new, simply add a packet of Chilipad System Cleaner to the water reservoir once a month. This helps prevent biological buildup in the Cube and pad.
